Welcome to The Mile race!

This is an exciting, energy packed event.  This race allows participants to run one mile along Washington Boulevard with thousands of spectators cheering them on.  The Mile takes place on the morning of July 24, just before the Ogden Pioneer Days Parade.  One of the most unique aspects of The Mile is that anyone can win.  The start of The Mile is staggered by gender and age.  This makes it possible for anyone to grab the over $1,000 in prizes!  The Mile is run for a great cause.  All proceeds of the race are donated to local schools.  We invite you to lace up your running shoes and join us for the Fifth Annual The Mile race!

The Mile High School Competition

All athletes are encouraged to participate in this fun, exciting race.  This year The Mile will feature a unique competition between high schools.  Each school can register as many male and female runners as they desire.  Because of the staggered start, both genders will be on equal ground as teammates to compete against other schools.  The times from the top 5 runners will be added together, and the school with the lowest time will be awarded $500.00.  This competition is an excellent opportunity to raise funds for a high school athletic program or for young athletes to stay in shape over the summer months.
